Hello lovely readers!
I spent this past week learning a beautiful abdominal massage therapy technique know as, Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®.
When these massage techniques are applied, they guide the internal abdominal organs back into their proper position. The techniques work by relieving congestion and blockages in order to improve flow in the circulatory, lymphatic and nervous systems. This results in improved organ function and therefore improved gynecological, digestive and urinary health.

I recently took a course through Steamy Chick with the lovely acupuncturist/herbalist that works with the company. She had all sorts of wisdom to share in terms of how women can take care of themselves, particularly during their ‘moon time’ (when they’re menstruating). One of my favorite practices offered in the course was making and consuming ‘Moon Juk.’ It’s super easy to make, tastes amazing, is and extremely nourishing for a women to consume during their period.

The “NADA” protocol is a simple, yet very powerful set of 5 points in the auricle (outer part) of the ear. “NADA” stands for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. This protocol is different from other acupuncture treatments in that there is no diagnostic procedure and the set of points is the same for everyone. This means that treatments can be done very quickly and can even be used when there is a language barrier. The treatment is also generally given in a group setting. The group setting helps to build support among those being treated and to ward of isolative tendencies.
