What is Community Acupuncture?
In this style of acupuncture, patients will be treated together in a group. There are 4 comfortable zero gravity (recliner type) chairs in a room where each person will receive their treatment. Holly will have a short discussion with each person about what they would like to work on. She will then provide an acupuncture treatment and allow them to rest for 30 min with the needles in place.
Appointments are available on a first come, first serve basis or you may schedule in advance by calling/emailing Holly: (818) 851-1294 or firstname.lastname@example.org to guarantee your desired time slot.
Why is the cost so much less than private treatments?
These sessions are offered for only $25 for a 1-hour treatment. We are able to keep the rates much lower in this style than in private acupuncture because Holly can see up to 4 people in 1-hour. These lower fees mean that there is less of a financial burden, which makes more frequent treatment possible for many people.
How long is the treatment?
In community style treatments, the initial assessment will take about 15 minutes after which each person will rest with the needles for about 30 minutes.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing. The points that will be used are located from the elbow down to the arm and hand, and from the knee down to the leg and foot. Pants and shirts that can be easily rolled up so these points are accessible are recommended.
When is community acupuncture available?
These sessions are offered on the first Saturday of each month from 2-4 pm. This means you may arrive anytime within that time frame for your appointment (the last appointment starts at 3:30 pm).
Please call/text Holly at (818) 851-1294 when you arrive.
